With the historic launch of .nyc, the City of New York will become one of the first cities in the world with a top-level domain, creating new opportunities to support local businesses, organizations, and communities and establishing an unprecedented level of geographic authority in the digital sphere.
The meetup will begin with a presentation on .NYC by government and industry experts, followed by group breakout sessions. Topics will include: what is a TLD, .NYC launch plans, what .NYC means for your business or nonprofit organization, how to apply for a .NYC domain, and more.

Reinvent 311 is challenging the developer community to find new ways to bring NYC311 info to New York City’s 8.4 million residents. Register for the Information Session today and help us connect New Yorkers with vital information about their city – anywhere, anytime, and on any device.At the Info Session, you will have the opportunity to ask questions about the Challenge to City employees who manage the 311 Content API and the City’s Open Data and Developer Portals. You’ll also get the chance to meet other interested participants and share ideas and feedback.
If you aren’t able to attend the Info Session, we will publish a summary of the conversation to the event website by Friday, December 13.
All interested participants must complete a short application form to be considered eligible to participate in Reinvent 311.
